So how do we do this? We offer several classes designed to help everyone including the brand new shooters get started on the right foot, By teaching the basic fundamentals of shooting all Types of Firearms. Everyone needs this strong foundation to build on, including people who have been shooting a while but have no formal training. This starts with:
NRA BASICS OF PISTOL SHOOTING: Giving you the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to own and operate a handgun safely. This class will lay the groundwork for safe gun handling and accurate shooting. These are the fundamentals that you can build on, and fall back on forever. Teaching you the skills to be the kind of shooter anyone would like to shoot with. This is a prerequisite for further NRA classes. This class is $100 and you will need 100 rounds of ammo and a handgun 22cal. or larger.. Please bring Eye and hearing protection.
NRA PERSONAL PROTECTION IN THE HOME: This class will get you on your way to securing your home from intruders, and teach you the advanced shooting skills needed in case of a possible home invasion. This class is $100 and you will need 200 rounds of ammo and a handgun 22 cal. or larger. The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is a prerequisite for this class. Please bring eye and hearing protection.
NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home: Coming this Fall. The NRA Personal Protection In The Home is a prerequisite for this class.
NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFICER CLASS: Not everyone wants to work at a shooting range, but this class will get you in the door and make you a prime applicant for any range. This class will also make you the safest shooter in your group on those casual outings with friends. Every group needs at least 1 RSO. There is no shooting qualification for this class. This class is $100. Please bring eye and hearing protection.
KANSAS CONCEALED CARRY CLASS: This is the class that you will need to take and pass, in order to apply for your Kansas CCHL Permit. Although Kansas is a Constitutional Carry State, You really need to know the laws pertaining to Self Defense. This permit also prevents lengthy background checks at the gun shop because you have already been thoroughly checked out by the Attorney Generals Office. You simply fill out your federal form 4473 ,show the FFL dealer your CCHL card and a Drivers License and your good to go. You will also need this permit in order to carry into any one of the 39 states that recognize the Kansas CCHL Permit .This class is $75 and you will need 50 rounds of ammo and a handgun 22 cal. or larger. We will cover some of the differences between Kansas and Nebraska, at no charge to you, but it will be added time. Please bring eye and hearing protection.
NEBRASKA CONCEALED CARRY CLASS: We are now certified to teach Nebraska Concealed Carry: Yes even though we are in Kansas we can help our neighbors to the north obtain your Concealed Carry License also. This is the class that you will need to take and pass, in order to apply for your Nebraska Concealed Carry Permit. If you want to carry a concealed handgun for personal protection as a resident of the state of Nebraska , you will need this permit. The permit will also grant carrying into 36 other states. This permit will allow you to purchase firearms by just filling out the paper work with your FFL dealer and he will not have to call in the Background check because you have already been completely checked out in order to get the permit. This class Is $75 and you will need a handgun, a strong side holster,2 mags and 50 rounds of ammo 22 cal. or larger. You will be drawing from a holster to engage your target. Plan on 20 rounds of ammo for practice and 30 to Qualify. You may need more ammo depending on your ability. We will cover some of the differences between Kansas and Nebraska, at no charge to you, but it will be added time. Please bring eye and hearing protection.
SKILLS TO DRILLS : This is a class that is conducted completely on the range. Length of the class will be 2 to 3 Hrs. depending on how many attend. We will start with a SAFETY MEETING. In this class you will need a strong side holster and at least 2 mag carriers for extra magazines, a handgun 22 cal. or larger, and maybe a lawn chair if you can not stand for long periods. Plan on shooting 50 t0 100 rounds of ammo drawing from a holster. This is a great class to get you ready for our ADVANCED PISTOL CLASS, although it is not required. In this class we will use a combat focus, balance of speed and precision target. there will be no shot timer, and you can take your time. we will have a 10 shot bullseye competition at the end for a TFT tee shirt. smallest group wins. This Class is $ 50. Please bring eye and hearing protection.
ADVANCED PISTOL: So, you took you concealed carry class, now what? This is the class for you to take your training to the next level. This class will start out in classroom. We will cover safety rules, and what to expect from the class. Then we will head to the range for the rest of the class. You can expect this class to last 4 to 5 hours total. You will need your defensive hand gun, 3 magazines,2 mag carriers,100 TO 150 rounds of ammo, eye and hearing protection. We will run you through 6 drills at a moderate speed, to help you get to know your hand gun better and find your skill level. I will also be throwing in some helpful concealed carry tips on how these drills will help you. This program will get you ready for our DEFENSIVE PISTOL CLASS. This is a must if you only have had a concealed carry class or maybe a basic pistol class. You will be much better prepared for life’s surprises. price of the class is $75.
DEFENSIVE PISTOL: This class will be conducted entirely on the range. You will need 100 to 200 rounds of ammo for YOUR DEFENSIVE HANDGUN, along with a strong side holster and 2 mag carriers, 3 magazines ,eye end hearing protection, and maybe a lawn chair if you cant stand for long periods, Expect this class to last 4 to 5 hours. We will be shooting from behind cover, on the move, at stationary targets. This is a must for anyone who carries a hand gun for personal protection. This class is $100 and has limited spots in order to keep everyone moving through the stages. We will use the shot timer to help you see your progress.
